How to make Poha in English


Just as there is some famous food everywhere, in the same way, poha is eaten as a breakfast in the western states of India. It is known as poha in Maharashtra and poha in Gujarat. In today's time, Poha is eaten all over India because it is very nutritious and delicious. So in this article I will tell you about the poha recipe. Poha is very easy to make you can make it in five to ten minutes. You can also use different vegetables in poha, which makes it a more healthy breakfast option.

Poha Recipe Ingredients  required to make the dough

To make the dough, you will need the following ingredients: You can also add vegetables according to your taste.

> Poha
 - 1 cup
Oil- 1 spoon
> Asafoetida
 - 1 spoon
Rye - 1 small spoon
> Onion, finely chopped - half cup 
> Curry Leaves - 8 to 10
> Red chillies - 3 
> Potato, finely chopped - half cup 
Jaggery - half cup
Salt - to taste
Green chillies , chopped - one spoon 
Lemon Juice - 1 spoon
Green Coriander - 1 spoon
Lemon peel - for garnishing


Poha Recipe in English... How to make poha

First, take a small bowl and pour a little water into it. Be careful not to soak the poha  in water for too long. Remove excess water. 

Put oil in a pan and heat it. When the oil is hot, add asafoetida and cumin seeds to it. After 30 seconds add curry leaves, onion and whole red chillies and saute well. 

When masala starts leaving oil then put potato in it and when potato becomes light golden color now put turmeric in it.

Now fry the potatoes on a low flame. 

Now heat the flame and add salt and poha to it and keep stirring so that the masala mixes well. 

Now turn off the gas and add green chillies, lemon juice and half green coriander to it and mix well. 

Your healthy and tasty poha is ready. Take it out in a bowl and garnish it with some finely chopped green coriander and lemon peel.

Ques -1: What is poha made of?

poha is made from wheat. When the rice is inside the peel, it is cleaned by bringing it to the factory and it is pressed along with the peel through the machine. Due to which the peel separates and the poha takes its shape due to the peel.
